In the retail environment, holiday is one of the busiest and most lucrative times of the year. One of the most important things for LOFT is making sure their Associates are educated to help best fulfill the customers’ holiday needs. The Client Experience team asked me to design a set of educational tools to send to all of the stores nationwide.
The first was a Gift Guide poster with gift giving ideas and tips to assist Associates in helping Clients customize their gifts based on demographic, budget, activity, interests, and more.
Another tool was the Holiday Edit – a guide for Associates with tips on how to interact with the customers based on their holiday goals and needs, product assortment previews, styling tips, Instagram prompts and inspiration, and more. The guide was a saddle-stitched booklet with a front fold-out.
Almost as important as creating a seamless experience for our customers is ensuring that Associates stay motivated, inspired, and excited throughout the (sometimes grueling) holiday season. One of the ways we sought to boost morale was creating a “Seasons of Giving,” 31 days of surprises, giving, and treats for Associates. I was asked to design a series of Instagram posts to be posted everyday throughout the month of December (think an Advent Calendar, but for the retail holiday season!).
Another fun project I collaborated with the Client Experience team on was designing a set of holiday “engagement cards” that the Associates could give to one another to help encourage and bolster relationships and further boost morale and commitment during the busy season. Think a valentine, but for your work BFFs.
